1950s 'Traina-Norell' Black and Ivory Satin Drop Waist Evening Dress
This stunning collaboration from designers Anthony Traina and Norman Norell is a piece of history rarely found outside of a museum collection. This beauty in black wool has a drop waist bodice, 3/4 dolman sleeves, and fabric covered buttons running the length of the spine. The wool satin skirt is luminous and full, and looks like it stepped off the pages of vintage Vogue. A dress this special is an investment that will only increase in value over time. This particular dress looks similar to a 1957 style from the same designer, which was gifted to The Metropolitan Museum of Art from the private collection of Lauren Bacall. Write your own 'Bogie and Bacall' type of love story in this one of a kind heirloom.
